I’ve been meaning to mention this book for a loooooong time now and my apologies to Li for being so slow [I am quite old, though].
Adapted by Jean David Morvan, this book is published by Delcourt and, much as I love certain French singers,I cannot speak or read French. That said,I thought that the artwork conveyed the story very well and Li’s art, style and colour work is simply superb.
Now I need to ask a question.
WHY IS YISHAN LI NOT BETTER KNOWN OR PROMOTED IN THE UK?!
I apologise for shouting. This is a hardcover book measuring roughly 24 x 30 cms [9.25×12 ins] so the pages will really show Li’s art off and I have to say that it’s a pity Olivier Cadic at Cinebook has his schedule mapped out because this book needs to hit an English audience.
May is still a ways off but,if you buy a copy from Delcourt,Li might sign it for you if you ask. Or see if there are any copies at the Comic Expo itself.
