This just arrived out of the blue and it was a pleasant surprise. There are some very nice art styles on show here. Some very nice black and white work by Adam Swiecki on Shadows. It can be easy to “over balance” the two negatives but Swiecki shows a lot of promise and I look forward to seeing more of his work.

And Reno Maniquis provides some really pro-quality art and it really is eye-catching. Turtles, jellyfish, seahorse and sharks drawn wonderfully.

The heftiest chunk of the book is taken up by Synchronicity. Dirk Shearer uses black and white, grey tones and other effects that, initially, makes you think “What?!” but then, when you sit back and read the story you find it works perfectly. Very nicely put together.

So how does this third issue compare with the first two issues? The stories are clearer and more developed so Robert Heske is obviously having no problems coming up with ideas. The art,I feel is far better whilst retaining its style mix. I’d have to give this issue 10 out of 10 and it is well worth buying a copy.
