So,Mr Biscuits says:”I’ll review them” followed by “I’ll review Jimi Gherkin Comics” followed by:”I’ve just found a new type of biscuit –no time to review”. And I’m sticking to that story. Instead –I’m reviewing!

I must –must- stop calling him “Jimmy the Gherkin”. No idea where that came from. That said, this is Jimi’s first Small Press offering and is quite neat. Sadly,no cover price quoted.
The strip where Jimi explains how he responds to the question “What Do You Do?” is just how you should respond! Why,when you say you “draw comics” does everyone only think of Superman or Batman? Mind you, they might say “Oh,like Dennis The Menace?”
“Window Shopping For Terror” just about says it all. And Terd Lovingz? The Rocker that is! It’s very good for a first effort and I’m hoping Jimi has the energy to stay around in zines for a looong time.

I am really gutted that there was not enough time for me to contribute to this Christmas themed zine. The cover by Nelson Evergreen is not just oozing that Xmas atmosphere but looks fantastic.
Richard Cowdury provides some nice art in “Do I Exist?” and ”Santa Corp” –he’s the illustrator behind the Alternative Press Fair poster. Howard Hardiman’s “Badger Xmas” is,as described, “cute but sad” and Jimi provides a piece titled “Balack Santa”. The strips range from rather crudish to quite slick looking –what the contents of a zine should be like.
And do not get put off by the fact that this is Christmas themed zine. It’s a good read and that cover is worth buying!
