No idea how these rumours get around but I’d like to point out that I have not blocked Image Comics news.

I’ve been a big Image fan since the company started and we usually post press releases as we get them -followed up by reviews of the books.  However,even with a standing order it appears I can no longer guarantee getting titles and I’m not going to go to even more expense trying to grab copies.  Three stores would supply titles I needed but added an extra £1.50 because they were “back issues” -ie. titles released two weeks before[!!] and even then I’d need a minimum order value of £10 each time.

I have asked Image on several occasions now whether we can get review books,since other companies supply them and have seen the benefit from CBO.  Response:nothing just more PRs.

Despite being site that gets huge hit stats,being British obviously doesn’t put us alongside US sites. But that’s out of my hands.

Interestingly,as I was looking over this problem,I received a package from Hodder Mifflin,in the US with a copy of Posey Simmonds new book,Tamara Drewe,which I’ll review later today.  Oh,and more Archie,Dr Master books..and something else just arrived in the post -the latest releases from Classical Comics.

I’ll need to find my spectacles for some reading.
