I’ve been asked:”Why are you boycotting BICS and any news about it?”

Let me just say that I am not.

I’ll explain.  Last year Paul Birch was in charge of the PR news and as CBO received it so it was uploaded to site.  This year there was one Press Release [last week?] to tell everyone about collecting tickets.  I don’t get the news then I cannot publish anything.  My life is busy enough and I don’t beg for info!

As for not going. Well,I get a Press Pass for the Bristol Comic Expo and I get offers of similar from the US and Europe [boy,if I could afford the travelling!].  I put in a request in June for a Press Pass.  Nothing.  Similar in July.  In August Paul Birch said he had passed my name along.  Nothing.

You have to remember that getting a free pass [working or otherwise] is a privilege the organisers bestow and it is not a right.

So,no Uncle Terry at BICS. And,judging by the fact I’ve heard absolutely nothing back from anyone,there won’t be any “What happened today” reports as with the Comic Expo.
