New Ditkomania out
Just wanted to let everyone know that the new issue (#67) of my
fanzine DITKOMANIA was printed up on Tuesday morning and the issues
were mailed out to subscribers today, August 14th. DM is a small 32-
page B&W photocopied fanzine devoted to the work of comics artist
Steve Ditko.
The new issue contains a 3-page review by CEREBUS creator Dave Sim of
Blake Bell’s “Strange & Stranger: The World of Steve Ditko” book. The
back cover of DM #67 also has a new drawing by Dave Sim featuring a
Ditkoesque version of Spider-Ham. It looks great!!
Also featured this issue is an article by Jason Sacks on SHADE THE
CHANGING MAN as well as a few pages of the unpublished SHADE #9. DM
founder Bill Hall checks in with an article titled “Ditko Drew the
First Skrull!” and Rodney Schroeter presents an article
on “Metaphysics and Fantasy” about how an Objectivist- minded reader
can appreciate fantasy fiction.
The first printing of each issue of Ditkomania is limited to 200
copies, which are hand-numbered in pen by me. The first copy that was
assembled, which is hand-numbered “1″ by me in the indicia, I will be
putting up on eBay this weekend.
I have around 100 copies left of DM #67 and they are available from me
in the U.S. for $2.50 postpaid.
More details about ordering DM #67 can be found at
http://www.ditko- fever.com/ dmreturns. html
where you can also view the new issue’s front cover, a depiction of
Shade drawn by Larry Blake.
Thanks!
