Cinebook The 9th Art

Posted by admin On April - 8 - 2008

I was asked why I don’t review or take a look at Cinebook releases any more?  Well, the simple reason is that I don’t get anything new from Cinebook!

We cannot force publishers to submit review items so it’s all down to when I get time to search and then it’s a case of if I have enough time to put something together.

But,as I’ve been pushing the company for a long time I thought it worthwhile to offer this brief summary of the following new books:

The Rugger Boys - A Spoonful of Style and a Tonne of Class!  £5.99

Iznogoud - The Wicked Wiles of Iznogoud £5.99

Legend has it that in Baghdad the magnificent, a great and particularly dark-minded vizier, who answers to the name of Iznogoud, works on his ambition to lay claim to the throne of caliph Haroun al Plassid. Thus his favourite saying: “I want to be caliph instead of the caliph!” Seconded by Wa’at Alahf, Iznogoud tries ever more diverse and even crazier means to reach his ends – in vain, of course!

In the south of France, leave the motorway and keep going over the fields. You’ll end up seeing the Paillar bell-tower. In this village where rugby is king, even the roundabouts are oval! The Paillar team is only afraid of one thing – that some Englishmen with bad intentions will turn the local pub into a tea salon! Also when the All Blacks look for a sparring partner to prepare for the world cup, our players, Light bulb, Fat neck, the Anaesthetist, Trumpeter and Romeo can’t resist the call of the southern hemisphere.

Cauliflower ears, broken noses and black eyes aplenty!
