MANGA EXPO ADDED TO THE BRISTOL EXPO
May 9th - 11th will see the Bristol International Comic Expo return to the British and Commonwealth Exhibition Hall for its annual event. Every year the event just gets bigger and bigger with guests and exhibitors from all over the world, giving comic book fans of all ages and genders the opportunity to meet their favourite writers and artists.
MANGA MAGIC
For the last few years some of the most popular at the Expo attractions in the main hall have been the Manga exhibits so this year we are proud to present ‘The Manga Expo’.
Japanese anime has been growing in popularity over the last couple of years, walk into any of the major book store chains and you will find shelves packed with the best adaptations.
This year we have brought together some of the best and most exciting writers, artists and publishers working in the manga genre. The Expo also boasts dealers specialising in Manga merchandise including action figures, toys and designer t-shirts.
Dimensional Manga

We are proud to present Tokyopop, one of the biggest publishers of manga in the west. Translating a huge range of stories for the western market, catering for all ages and sexes.
GUESTS
Yokaj Studio Rising stars in the anime world, Yokaj Studio has crossed over from producing stunning visuals for the manga market to working with mainstream blue chip organisations like the WWF, Wella and M&C Saatchi. So all the way from Sweden we welcome Yosh, Kajfa, Soya and DaraJen, otherwise known as Yokaj Studio.
Yishan Li
Has been drawing manga since 1999 and has been published in several Chinese manga magazines. She began publishing in English in 2005. Work includes: Contes du Boudoir Hante (Delcourt), Spirit Marked and Aluria Chronicles (Yaoi Press), The Guardians (QTK Anime), Dark Mists & The Tizzle Sisters & Erik (Markosia Comics). Currently working on: The Adventures of CG (Tokyopop/Cosmogirl).
Emma Vieceli & Sonia Leong
Emma and Sonia are two hard working artists with a bright future ahead of them. Both have produced wonderful bodies of work for Tokyopop and Self Made Heroes Manga Shakespeare line. With Sonia supplying the art for Romeo and Juliet and Emma producing visuals for their Hamlet adaptations, both are critically acclaimed and available in all good bookshops.
