Leaping Moggies!
JUMPING CATS!
Got a mail from Ray today who wrote:
“I had a friend make this up for me and thought I’d
share it with you (and maybe the britcomics group”
So,as the images were attached I thought why not? The images Ray sent were quite fab!
Initially,I thought it was a converted [loud hiss] HeroClix figure. This would mean Ray’s friend had great eye-sight and nimble figures. So I asked Ray who wrote back:
“It’s actually a modified Robin from the Bandai Teen
Titans line, and yes, I’m very lucky”
You can check out the Bandai figures at:

Just think,Ray can now tell everyone that he has the only Billy The Cat action figure in the world!
After Harrop’s General Jumbo figurine, you have to wonder why someone has not produced any Thompson action figures for the UK?
I do know there was a 54mm[?] Robot Archie figure in the early 1980s but apart from 54mm Dan Dare plastic figures in the 1960s,followed by bubble gum filled Daleks and then,in the 1970s,Timpo Captain Scarlet figures,UK comic characters just don’t seem to get the toy boost they need!
