Hungry Man TV presents monster-ously “Strange Detective Tales” just in time for Halloween!

Meet the newest detective duo in town this October 30th.  Strange Detective Tales: Dead on Stage, the latest web series set to premiere on Hungry Man TV, stars two familiar monsters from two cult-horror classics.  Dracula’s Renfield (crazed with an appetite for bugs) and Frankenstein’s Dr. Igor Vorlic (the ubiquitous hunchback lab assistant) pair up for the first time in history to help the monsters, zombies, creeps, and any other un-dead creatures trolling the streets of Hollywood!  This Monster Noir is an adaptation of the underground hit comic book series “Strange Detective Tales: Dead Love,” written by Jesse Bausch and James Callahan.

Set in 1950’s Hollywood , these sidekicks turned private eyes slither into the underbelly of Tinsel

Town to assist and serve the creatures still looming around after their dreams of making it big were shattered when the demand for horror movies busted.  In an animated first, “Strange Detective Tales” imagines that it is no longer the humans trying desperately to stop terrifying monsters…it’s the monsters trying desperately to stop terrifying humans!  Splattered with dark comedy, star-studded cameos, and endless notable pop horror references, “Strange Detective Tales” is a mash-up of all things grotesquely mysterious.  In “Dead on Stage,” Renfield and Igor journey through a suspenseful fight against time to save a familiar blue suede shoes clad rocker from uncertain danger.  What evil force could be behind such a dastardly plot?

Sao Paulo born Hungry Man director Gualter Pupo brought Renfield and Igor to extraordinary life with an amazing team of animators based out of Hungry Man Rio, giving the series a uniquely Brazilian flair.  This tale was created exclusively for Hungry Man TV by the comic book series creators Jesse Bausch and James Callahan and will premiere on the channel over four episodes in the coming months.

Bausch and Callahan continue to develop the “Strange Detective Tales” comic books, taking Renfield and Igor to Mexico , London , and even Tokyo for the creepiest of worldly adventures in the near future.

Be sure to catch the premiere next week October 30th   AND
