Comics Interviews, Reviews and News

Gerald G Swan,HaloClix & Dr Master

Posted by admin On October - 22 - 2007

What a surprise!  Given over a week to get back to me before all Whizkid items were to be removed and the company gets back to me after deletions.

Don’t really care what they had to say as it was too late and the message went into a folder.

It seems, though, that speciality shops and others  are far -far- from enamored with how Whizkids just can’t be bothered but expect everyone else to jump for them.

This is a two way market.

That said,I got the three volumes from Classical Comics which I hope to review in the next few days.

To all those who wrote saying “Why weren’t you at Birmingham for BICS??”  Well,no transport and I was disappointed that those who promised to write reports have not.   However, not one bad word about the event.  Not bad.

I’d like to re-iterate that the November Manga Festival in Bristol is cancelled!

Luckily some people travelling from outside the UK contacted me for info [why me?] as they all thought, like many others, that there WAS a Manga event in November but from 2008 onward it would be run alongside the Comic Expo.

I can still see people turning up,though as a couple magazines were still advertising it at least a week ago!!!

Dr Master books features have now been heavy hitters on site for a while but the hits have increased recently.  Not bad at all.

Now,there must be someone out there who has a copy or scan of the below magazine…

Why am I interested?  Well, one of the articles inside is on the late Gerald G. Swan who published pulp sci fi and horror in the UK as well as comics.

I had this magazine back in the 1990s but it was stolen  borrowed by a certain person and never returned.

So if you have a copy please let me know!

Cheers!

Terry
