Archie Comics:Civil Chores!!!
I think that Archie Comics have always been vastly under-rated over the last 15-20 years. I can recall letters and articles in British and US fanzines of the 1980s about how “old fashioned” and “out of date” Archie Comics were and how things would be better without them [never understood that last point].
Leap ahead 20 years and Marvel and DC have hits the gutter, climbed out,and tried all sorts of gimmicks to keep sales going -DC perhaps dragging as much out of an empty barrel as possible. Those fanzines are..oh. Gone.
Archie Comics, however, have developed marvellously. And the company has never shied away from a very unique tongue-in-cheek humour. Sadly,I missed Archie and The Punisher [I never dreamed that, did I?] and now we have a universe rocking crisis! Yes,the Archie Universe will probably never be the same again….
CIVIL CHORES!!
Hey,I wonder if the company knows that sounds like “Civil Wars” the Mar– erm. Right.
This looks great fun and that is probably why Archie are still going -FUN!
Now,all I need is the announcement that The Mighty Crusaders will be returning!!
