Elsewhere I’ve reviewed Willie Hewes’ ongoing series called Amaranth.  When I popped into Travelling Man and saw this single copy on the shelf I had to buy it.

As you’ll note, the sub-title gives it all away:”A tale of love beyond good and evil!”  A kidnapped damsel in distress starts off the tale which has a nifty little punchline at the end.  And there is an illo of Rosa and Ivy from Amaranth.

What surprised me is that Hewes’ style is developing nicely and it would be interesting to see how far it progresses over the next year!  I’d put my money on Hewes developing into one of the new UK Manga talents of the future.

I’d recommend buying a copy if you have an open mind on comic art.
