Creature From The Depths 36pp US col. comic
I saw this comic on the shelf and thought I’d not bother but then I thought again. I do that a lot. Think. Age,y’know.
Never,ever heard of Mark Kidwell but here he is writing and drawing the lot! It’s a modern take on the Creature From The Black Lagoon film genre,obviously. But there’s a nice twist to it. Kidwell’s art style has an old Underground Comic look to it,nothing wrong there. Jay Fotos does the colour work and really brings Kidwell’s art to life.
This is a one-off but if you are a monster comics fan -don’t miss out!

Comment:Why is it that Image and Dark Horse comics are producing such good comics but they are not being as strongly promoted as “The Big Twos” titles? Let’s face it,DC and Marvel get all the fuss but at times DH and Image can knock the spots off them?
Could it be because neither of the two smaller companies is confining itself to a small stable of writers?
